Very pretty faux tortoiseshell box with push button opening mechanism - dating back to the 1870's. Raised faux ivory flower on top. Excellent quality. The two hinges are strong and the box closes firmly. There are two small chips inside next to the hinges (as can be seen in the photo) and a minimal small mark on the bottom.
